Exorbitant postage charges are for wimps
January 4, 2008
Up until a few months ago Alcopop Records refused to charge for p&p, believing such recourse to be the scourge of every good mail order/ online shopping and ebay enthusiast around the globe – but old uncle Royal Mail cackled nastily, rubbed his grizzled hands togetherin glee and stuck up postage prices again and again till we cracked – and were forced to levy a charge…
This was a move we were neither proud or happy about – but made sure to keep it cheap (50p for UK orders) and so felt somewhat vindicated. And this continues – and just to let y’all know, the postage cost remains at 50p whether you order a single CD, 2 CDs or 5 CDs, a tape, 3 x 7″ and a pair of Alcopop hot pants (or it would be if we had some kind of deal with Sloggi).
So, although Royal Mail may have won this round, Alcopop will continue to fight the good fight! Hurrah
