Wooh! It’s the 6 Machine

I like stupid names, even though nobody else seems to share my sense of humour or passion. I’m starting to think I’m the only sane person around here. The excellent BSM Christmas tour of 2006, ‘Santa Tours’, the BSM blog, ‘Blog Scary Monsters‘ and the future autobiography, ‘Book Scary Monsters’, the label sampler CD from last summer, ‘Record Label Shmecord Label’, the list really is endless. And here’s the latest…

In April BSM will release a 6 band split 10″ compilation entitled ’6 Machine’. Unlike other compilations we’re leaving this one to the fans to choose the tracklisting, so I’m looking for a little bit of input please, dear reader.

Right now we’re asking bands to submit MP3s for possible inclusion on the record. The deadline for this is 24th February, after which date we will be listening through them all and picking out our favourite 12. This shortlist will then be posted up online when we’ll be asking you to vote on your favourite band. The 6 bands with the most votes at the end of that period will have their music committed to history through the wonderful medium of vinyl. Along the way we’ll be running profiles on all of the bands, putting out a special episode of our podcast and loads more.
