Sam Isaac glows prettily

DIY may mean nothing but low budgets and hard work for the be-suited chaps at the very top of the record label tree, but for us at Alcopop HQ, Sam Isaac and the members of his street team – it’s all about getting the best music available in the UK out there, and floating about the ears of the people! Hurrah

Thusly – for anyone who’d like to pitch in and lend a hand – the magnificent Burt (of keys fame) has set up a street team where affable types can pitch in, lend a hand, send some emails and spread word of mouth in return for freebies, exclusives and all sorts of other nice stuff. The EP is coming out on Alcopop records on the 22nd September (available to pre-order from the shop NOW) – and we’d love you to get involved. To find out more follow this link, and now over to Mr Isaac to explain further….

“It’s a nice little DIY affair. They are going for personal contact and friendliness and stuff. Its not run by a big company or anything. So I think it will be lots of fun to be involved with. The basic idea is that you help promote my music and shows in a variety of ways and in return get ace rewards like exclusive music, merch, free gig tickets and the like. Maybe get invited to Matt Randall Question Time (soundcheck) and we can all say hi and stuff. And the kudos of being involved in our little team we’ve got going. And you’ll get to meet new people and stuff, and then maybe we can all go for a curry in Manchester to celebrate after the show. For example.

Anyway, I think it would be really great. And I’d LOVE as many of you as possible to be involved. Please sign up if you are at all interested. It goes from simple online promotion to actually getting involved in helping to promote shows in the places where you live. All you have to do is go to the Sam Isaac: Street Team myspace page and sign up. So click on the link, fill in the form and stuff, and add the page as a friend. “

Do so if you have any time – we’d very much appreciate it!

..when in Manchester. I imagine this isn’t common practice nationwide.
